Position Summary The position holder leads the development and implementation of women and girl child empowerment programme under Smile Foundation with a special focus on Reproductive and Child Health. Job Description/Responsibilities: • Lead the development and implementation of Smile Foundation’s Women & Girl Child Empowerment strategy
• Effectively review and monitor the programme to ensure achievement of programme objectives
• Provide technical and programmatic support as well as oversee project budgets.
• Supervise and build capacity of team for fulfillment of programme objectives
• Continuous relationship building /coordination with implementing partners
• Nurture relationship with donor agencies for strengthening of existing partnerships
• Reporting & Documentation - Preparation of concept notes, reports as well as updating programme website
• Conceptualizing and executing events, trainings and workshops as a part of advocacy, networking and communication
• Coordinate/ network with institutions and likeminded organizations for strengthening programme interventions
• Operationalize scholarship support to more underprivileged girls for educational support
• Lead development of proposals for gender equality and women’s empowerment.
• Ensure scalability of programme through existing / new donor agencies
• Scale up women and girl child empowerment programme through innovative initiatives/projects through CSR and Alliance Desired Profile of the Candidate • Education: Master’s in related field or related experience.
• Languages: Proficiency in English and Hindi
• Experience: At least 4 years experience in development sector including field program experience with gendered Tag Heuer Replica approaches towards women & girl child empowerment. Demonstrated skills in project planning, budgeting and financial analysis
• Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative monitoring and evaluation methods
• Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in women’s empowerment, gender and specifically in Maternal & Child Health & ARSH
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral) for documenting programme impact and communicating with donors
• Proficiency in computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint)
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks
