Call for Proposals - Child Protection from HDF
Activities:
Children
Human Diginity Foundation calls for applications from India (selected states list below) and South Africa. Last date to submit Concept Notes: 18/04/2014 HDF is a pro-active grantmaker, it seeks out the organisations it wants to fund. The majority of HDF’s grantees are identified in this way but we know that there are always other organisations out there; that’s why a Letter of Enquiry can be submitted at any time. See below for further information.
HDF supports organisations working within HDF’s programmatic (child protection & life choices) and geographic focus. HDF only funds the following in exceptional circumstances:
an organisation’s core costs – in the presence of a strategic relationship, strong rationale and future viability relief work – where the foundation is already supporting long-term development work or where severe humanitarian need is not being met by the usual channels academic research – when it is closely linked to programme work, is filling a clear gap and is likely to influence practitioners and other funders HDF does not provide grants to individuals.
Letter of Enquiry Calls for Proposals Human Dignity Foundation invites organisations to respond to a Call for Proposals on child protection. The purpose of the call is to identify projects that will contribute to ensuring that ‘all children are safer at home and in the community’.
The primary target group of the call is children between 10 and 18 years
The geographic focus of the call is South Africa and India (Rajasthan, Gujarat, Bihar, Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh and cities of Delhi and Bangalore only).
Key areas of focus are:
Effective support to children who experience violence Prevention of violence against children Prevention of unnecessary separation of children HDF is particularly interested in projects that:
Address underlying causes of violence against children Support functioning of integrated protection systems Support families and communities to better care for children Support removal of drivers of institutional care Applications are invited from non-government, not-for-profit organisations registered in the countries of focus. We are looking for organisations that have a proven track record and are providing effective solutions that put children directly at the core of their activities.
Applicants are invited to submit Concept Notes by 5pm GMT on 18th of April 2014 to info@human-dignity-foundation.org; the Concept Notes must be submitted using the HDF Concept Note Form.
