Background:CRY stands for Child Rights and You, a rights – based organization actively working for more than three decades for the Indian child. We believe that all children are equal, with equal rights guaranteed to them in the Constitution of India. For over 34 years of working with and for children across 23 states in India, we’ve learnt that lasting change in the lives of children is only possible when we address the root causes of issues like discrimination, caste, class, gender livelihoods, displacement that continues to keep them uneducated, hungry and vulnerable.

CRY strongly believes in pursuing evidence based policy advocacy for bringing about lasting change in the lives of children. One of the defined aims is to closely look at the budgetary allocation for children. In this context, we realize that optimum financial and human resource investments are a pre – requisite for realization of the rights of children. We are also aware that larger policy actions, including shifts in macroeconomic policies influence children, whether in direct or indirect manner. In order to support and strengthen the above goal, CRY seeks technical partnership with a credible resource agency/organization.
