Strengthening Nonprofits Growth through Inclusive Partnership in National Capital Region of Delhi: Expression of Interest from NGOs

Last date: 15 April 2015

About CAF India:Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) India is a member of the UK-based CAF Global Alliance which has representation in 9 countries across the world (United States of America, Australia, Bulgaria, Brazil, India, Russia, Southern Africa, United Kingdom & Canada). We are a registered charitable trust and provide strategic and management support to corporates and individuals to ensure greater impact of their philanthropic and CSR investments.  The endeavour of CAF India is to design and deliver community investment programs that helps build a company's philanthropic future. We promote and support all socio development causes that positions us uniquely to address a wide-cross sectorial span of our partners which includes corporates, institutions, Government agencies and NGOs.

CAF India has more than 15 years of demonstrated track record of conducting validation of voluntary organizations for international Foundations, trans-national corporations and high net worth individuals. CAF India ensures that all its charities go through a process of validation and comply with all fiscal, legal and regulatory norms in the country through a process of desk review and site visits. The validation process has been referred to and sourced by different organizations, including Planning Commission and many Corporates, to set up and run their own systems of accreditation. Numbers of NGOs have approached us for validations and our due diligence is also an instant pick of prospective donors. In the wake of current legislative and policy regime for both NGOs (FCRA 2010, Proposed Direct Tax Code) and Corporates (New Companies Act, 2013) and an ever growing demand for better accountability, quality & transparency in the country, CAF India has strengthened its NGO Validation & Due Diligence support and made it even more robust and inclusive by adding the component of Capacity Building of NGOs as its important mandate. (For more information visit: www.cafindia.org)

Partnership initiative:In keeping with the above mandate, CAF India is requesting Expression of Interest (EOI) from NGOs/CSOs to be a part of its initiative on building organizational effectiveness through inclusive partnership in National Capital Region (NCR) of Delhi. As part of this initiative, NGOs based in Delhi NCR that fulfill the selection criteria will undergo thorough due diligence and capacity building needs assessment; following which they will be invited to participate in capacity building workshops in strengthening their respective organizational & programmatic practices (governance, leadership, human resource management, programme, finance, strategic planning) that makes them compliant and competent. Under this initiative, CAF India will work to provide a platform to facilitate interaction of different types of donors to these non-governmental organizations and communities assist the donors to make more informed and strategic decisions about giving. This initiative will pave the way for stronger and meaningful public-private partnership encouraging national and international donors to work on developmental outcomes, with a focus on marginalized people.
