Calls for research projects of the CEnter for the Synthesis and Analysis of Biodiversity are launched once a year since 2010. The CESAB provides to expert groups the necessary resources and infrastructure to share data sets and/or conduct extensive reflections on new biodiversity-related concepts. The projects are generally funded for a three-year period. CESAB supports national or international working groups developing a synthesis of ideas and concepts, and/or data to improve our understanding of all facets of biodiversity. The members of CESAB groups share expertise and available data to address specific questions relevant to a wide range of biodiversity issues at any spatial or temporal scale. Proposals from the natural and social sciences are welcome.
The aim of these calls is to support research projets on biodiversity without new primary data collection. The selection process is led by the Scientific Board of the CESAB Deadlines for submiting pre-proposals - 20 Nov 2015 Deadline for submitting full proposals - 1 Feb 2016 Guidelines
