Kartavya aims at providing free and quality education to the underpriviledged children of the slums near the IIT ISM dhanbad college campus. It is a student run organisation. It is not restricted only to dhanbad but several premier institutes have now become part of kartavya. More than 500 students are provided free education of which more than 300 students study in private reputed schools.Apart from this xtra cirricular activities are also held at the centres.Professional classes for students talented in different arts are also arranged. Other than this iniciatives for women empowerment are also taken. Health awareness progremmes are also organised by kartavya.
