Human Rights
Jan Vikas Sansthan-(JVS) is a non- governmental, non-political and non-profitable voluntary organization. The inception of the organization is November 1998 under the Society Registration Act, 1860. Organization operational area in Uttar Pradesh, particularly in Jaunpur and Hardoi district and intent in three blocks, viz., Buxa, Machhalishahar and Sikrara at Jaunpur District and Ahirori Block in Hardoi District jointly comprising of 75 villages.
JVS work with unprivileged and disadvantage group of communities, especially Women, adolescents and children. The JVS focus following issues in that area. (1)Primary education & Women Literacy (2) Basic Primary Health Care (3) Sustainable livelihood (4) Women empowerment (5) Child rights & Child labor (6) Human Rights &Gender equality (7) Capacity Building programme (8) Climate change
An extension circumstance in the state of Uttar Pradesh has witnessed the dismal condition of poor and unprivileged group communities. Taking forward the agenda of ensuring Human Rights of target group of communities, JVS has worked with an overarching objective of fortification of rights and entitlements of target group of communities. JVS focuses specifically on education, basic health care, mobilization and empowerment, Livelihood promotion of marginalized community through its diverse interventions and strategies including campaign, workshops, meetings, seminars, trainings, awareness programs, capacity building, bal-panchayats, networking, information gathering, studies and community advocacy.
