Activities: Legal Assistance
to promote and develop social and legal awareness among women, children and men especially the underprivileged sections of the society by organizing awareness camps, seminars, legal aid camps and legal training programmes and to publish, distribute or cause to the published and distributed useful literatures, magazines, periodicals etc. without profit motive and to import awareness regarding child labour, health and women trafficking and strive towards women empowerment. 4. To assist Human Rights Commission in effective implementation of Human Rights. 5. To assist Women’s Rights Commission in effective implementation of Women’s Rights. 6. To spread awareness regarding environment protection laws and organize plantation of trees. 7. To establish shelter homes for sick and infected animals and provide treatment and rehabilitation. 8. To make the women aware of: (i)a) The various machineries/organs of the Justice delivery system available for redressal of their problems/grievances. (ii) b) The procedure of approaching and utilizing various channels available for the redressal of grievances i.e. the Police, the Executive and the Judiciary. (iii) c) The role of Courts in achieving gender equality, most importantly the concept of public interest litigation. (iv) d) The role of District Legal Service Authority, Free Legal Aid and Lok Adalats.
9. To sensitize Women and Girls about their Rights as provided under the various laws.

To make available to the weaker sections of the community and persons of limited means and fellow citizens belonging to the socially and educationally backward classes in particular, facilities for:- (i) (i) Legal advice so as to bring among them an awareness of their constitutional and legal rights and just obligations and for the avoidance of vexations and unnecessary litigation and; (ii) Legal aid in proceedings before civil, criminal and revenue courts so as to make justice more easily available to all sections of the community; (iii) To formulate having regard to the resources available, a scheme for legal advice and aid for the purposes aforesaid; (v) To assess the value and effectiveness of legal aid schemes presently functioning in the country ; (vi) To make recommendations for establishing and operating a comprehensive and dynamic legal training programmes for effective implementation of the socio-economic measures taken or not to be taken by Government including formulation of schemes for legal services ; (vii) To draw legal camps and legal service programme in all the states on a uniform basis; (x) To implement rural and urban livelihood projects and create enabling conditions for the poor especially women; 11. To extend support and legal aid to under-trail prisoners. 12. To organize community groups among poor for enhanced livelihood options. 19. Appropriate vocational skill training to youth after proper demand assessment to facilitate employability and create options for non-farm livelihoods etc.
