CHILD WELFARE AND CHILD RIGHTS Promotion of Mother and Child Care – Coordination with ICDS to promote institutional deliveries and Mother and Child Immunization. Ensuring enrolment of 2-6 years old children in Anganwadis (Crèches run by Government) Promotion of Breast Feeding among 0-6 months old children. Educating on Complementary Feeding Awareness on Child Rights – organizing convergence meetings with line Departments to protect Child Rights. COMMUNITY HEALTH: Promoting personal hygiene, especially among the adolescent girls by educating on the issue of menstrual cycle and hygienic issues. Educating the communities on the Government Health Services – Primary Health Services, support of 104 and 108 mobile services. Educating on RCH, STI and RTI, HIV AIDS, TB and Cancer. Providing free medical checkup camps at the village level. AGRICULTURE Educating the farmers on land issues - promoting cost effective Organic Farming through Trainings and follow-up support. Motivating the farmers on NREGS (National Rural Employment Guaranty Scheme) to avail schemes of land development and ensure 100 days of employment to arrest migration. EDUCATION AND LITERACY : Promoting Quality Education through advocacy with the Departments, Elected Representatives, Teacher – Parent Meetings. Involving communities in the School Maintenance aspects so that the feeling of ownership on the government schools is achieved. Promoting schooling and competitive spirit through organization sports, games and other competitions for the students.
