The basic aim of the organisation is to mobilise the rural poor on issues related to empowerment of the community with special focus on creating access to education and skills and enhancing their economic standard of living. The organisation aims at facilitating the community to become the basis of planning and implementation of the developmental activities affecting the community • To Eradicate of child labour and universalisation of elementary education. • To participate in the betterment of human welfare and in community health, providing Non –formal and adult, and posturing agriculture and socio -economic development. • To promote environmental education and poster environmental awareness in all age groups. • To focus on the Rights of women and child at community level • To organise adductive and action programme to improve health, nutrition, physician and sanitation such other areas of concern in rural areas. • To disseminate in formation about social development and endeavour to change the living conditions of rural folk with special focus on eradication of banded labour, child labour etc. • To promote the Self Help groups on sustainable development and federation process at village level • To promote the right based approaches on social and economical issues among the community Project Director Background SVK was set up as a registered organization in 1992 to undertake development work in Mahabubnagar district with particular reference to the backward communities and child labor. As part of the UNDP activities in the operational area, SVK has formed women’s groups, facilitated thrift and credit activities and worked on liberating girl children working in cotton fields. The Self Help Groups (SHGs) at the village level were federated into a Village Organization [VO] at the Panchayat level. Efforts culminated into the formation of Mandal Shramika Mahila Samakhya [MSMS] a representative body of all the SHGs at the Mandal level. Project holder Mr. Laxman Rao hails from Kollapur Mandal in Mahabubnagar district. Ever since his college days, Laxman Rao had a drive to work for the poorest of the poor. He got an opportunity to work for Mamidipudi Venkatarangaiya Foundation (MV Foundation), an organization dedicated to the cause of eradicating child labor. He has been working for the child rights and human rights in local context ,Common School Systems , secularism and right based approach at a large level . as part of the advocacy and lobbying with government officials on child rights and their basic needs like food ,shelter , housing, house pattas, ration cards , pensions support prices and others .
