Social Medical Action Research Trust – NGO is state level development organization started with its humble beginning to initiate, support and strengthen the community groups in their efforts to solve their problems participatory actions and reactions. It was founded during 1996 by the band of committed social workers and activists. They were inspired by the grass-root realities, exploitatioin, poverty, disease prevalent in project areas. They had decided to work with masses in bearing the burden of the poor and lifting them out of the poverty and other evils of the life in the society. Social Medical Action Research Trust – NGO is registered under the Indian Trust Registration Act., 1882. Registered Under the FCRA (Act 1976).
