Devi Ahilya Village Development Association is registered an NGO With its administrative office at 27, South Raj Mohalla, district Indore. The aim is to equip rural and urban slum population with the tool like good health. The governing body is a group of local educated enthusiastic men and women who are well experienced and devoted for upliftment of our rural and urban slum population to provide them better life option by promoting right practices related to nutrition & health. Devi Ahilya Village Development Association provides medical relief & family counseling in the poor slum population. Full time staff is there for general treatment, health check up and casualties, General medicines are provided, Regular medicines are also made available for asthmatic, diabetic and TB Patients. A doctor, an optometrist, center in-charge, coordinator, health advisor and health workers are also there to provide their services at center. Organization is implementing targeted intervention program in commercial sex workers of tribal majority district Dhar for the prevention and control of hiv/aids. In this context the association is running STI clinic in the tribal population of dist. Dhar. We are providing regular medical relief to the patients suffering from sexually transmitted infections. We are providing medical relief to the general patients also. Every week our mobile health camp unit is providing relief to the villagers. We are providing G.M.P. and W.H.O. certified medicines free of charge to the patients. More then 300 people have been treated in these mobile camps this year. Counseling of the patients and their family members is also done in the most of the cases. We also hospitalize the patients in the govt. hospitals if needed. The organization is working for the prevention and control of tuberculosis, polio. We are also organizing awareness campaign for tobacco eradication, iodine deficiency disorder awareness etc. For last 10 years. Working for pulse polio campaign UNICEF has awarded the organization on state level. We are regularly organizing medical camps and exhibitions on different issues related with the community health. For organizing these medical camps and exhibitions we are getting financial support from M.P. State aids control society, district aids control society and other public donation.
