The mission of VEDS is to promote integrated rural development through community and participatory methods for the improvement of educational, social, economical, political and health condition of the poor and the traditionally backward caste and tribes of the population aiming at social quality and justice The main objectives of the Organization:  1.        To educate the poor children by giving necessary aid. 2.        To educate the youth through cultural literacy and other necessary programs and youth activities. 3.        To create awareness on water borne diseases, communicable diseases STD, HIV/AIDS, RTI and other aspects of community health through cultural media.  4.        To start nutritional programs for children, pregnant women and lactating mothers. 5.        To empower scheduled caste and tribes of the community. 6.        To train & promote youth in cultural Activities. 7.        To undertake Watershed projects for the development of the rural poor and for the improvement of Natural resources. 8.        To empower and mainstreaming persons with disabilities 9.        To initiate formation of self-help groups and to minimize the dependence on traditional elite leadership for resolving their own problems & set-up small income generating units independently. 10.        To create awareness on management of natural resources like forest, tanks, land etc.   11.        To help the marginal farmers in their curative by providing agricultural infrastructures and minor irrigations 12.
