Shikhar Organisation for Social Development is an NGO working in Sout Delhi with the following Mission, Vision and Objectives. Mission: "To help the deprived sections for developing and realizing their capacities and potential with sensitivity to their dignity, self-dependence and cultural values, in order to lead more satisfying and enriching lives”. VISION: Aims and Objectives: I. The role of society is to inspire and motivate women to realize their human dignity and develop their own capabilities and then to provide them necessary support & help in the form of information, advise & financial support. II. To empower the under-privileged section of the society mainly women by providing them education and vocational training so that they become self-dependent. III. Adventure promotional work: to promote the interest of the youth in nature, in order to maintain the ecological balance and conservation of natural resources. IV. To undertake such other activities as decided by the governing body, which, are necessary and conducive for the objectives of the society.
