WELCOMES accepts the intrinsic value of all people and seeks way to lessen the existing polarisation between powerful and powerless which is the major cause of destructive conflict in the society. WELCOMES believes that both the community initiative and community empowerment are essential ingredients for change and development which will reflect on enrichment of the society. Mission WELCOMES seeks to promote an enriched society of enduring peace with justice and with social, economic and political equity for all. Goal Achievement of social, political and economic empowerment of disadvantaged community with organized initiatives, harmony and cooperation without discriminating caste, creed, colour and religion. Objectives • To promote and strengthen community based organizations. • To utilize natural and human resources for development of the community. • To organize and empower the women folk for an enriched society. • To promote health and education for well being of the society. • To develop networking and partnership with community based organizations / NGOs / Civil Societies for collective effort to facilitate the process of development. • To organize / conduct studies and researches on problems confronting the society for better understanding and proper solutions. • To engage in relief and rehabilitation of disaster victims. |
