eNGO Challenge Award Criteria
Nomination Criteria The nomination process for the 2nd eNGO Challenge Award is started on 15th August 2013. The following are the scheduled dates for the nomination process: • Nomination process starting from – August 15th, 2013 following are the criteria to apply for eNGO Challenge: Criteria 1: • Nomination is open for NGOs who are members of the eNGO Network (for details of the eNGO Network pl visit www.pirengo.org • NGOs who are not part of the eNGO Network may register themselves now at www.pirengo.org • If you are not sure about your eNGO Network membership status, plz call @ 09044-901-901 or write to engochallenge@gmail.com Criteria 2: • NGOs means a registered society/trust/sec25 (not-for-profit) having registered under appropriate acts and authority within a country ; • NGOs must possess registered certificate as a proof of legal existence; • NGOs must be at least 1 year old having good amount of quality work in a community setting ; • NGOs also mean social enterprises who can participate in this challenge. Criteria 3: • Applications and practices must be on ground for at least 1 year. • Mere innovative ideas and designs are not applicable for the eNGO Challenge. Criteria 4: Every NGO nominee must have working website or their virtual presence as an essential criterion to judge their public presence. Submission Criteria: • Nominations should be submitted within set timeline and criteria; • One NGO can apply for more than one category; • Every nomination must provide Website URL/s; if NGO does not have that, can get it free from eNGO Network membership. • Every nomination form to be submitted online in soft copy format or in hard copy format by post ; • Every nomination to be accompanied by any media coverage, case study published, relevant images, success story of the application or project; it can be accompanied by relevant small video clips as well; • Every nomination submission can be in as much detail as possible to give enough material to the Jury members to decide in favor of the submitted nomination; • Any partially filled/not filled registration form shall be straight away rejected; • Organizers have the right to reject submission / nomination without providing any further reason; • The final results will be announced during the Felicitation Gala only. Evaluation Criteria The Jury will assess the nominations according to the following criteria: • Excellence and quality: in terms of quality and novelty of the project, outcome, and policy relevance achieved; contribution to addressing key issues in key nomination thematic area; ideas and action contributing towards an alternative action measure to address development & governance challenges in the development sector. • Contemporariness: in terms of relevance of focus in the key thematic areas and aspects of it highlighted; • Quality & Impact: in terms of quality of service delivery, impact, outreach, replicability and sustainability.
