Deepam Educational Society for Health (DESH) started implementing its programs since year 1991. Some of the main objectives of the organization are: 1. Adopting Social Health Education (SHE) communication materials. To bring behavior change for better reproductive health, practicing safe sexual life and enhancing social skills. 2. Self empowerment and mental vaccination model for reducing the hazards of drug abuse, alcoholism and increasing the quality of life. 3. Collectivization of the women and the marginalized community for collective transformation and advocacy towards better health seeking behavior. Social Health Education (SHE) emphasizes the enhancement of social skills and life skills to bring about attitudinal and behavioral change.
