Aim/Objective/Mission: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NARIKELDAHA PRAYAS is the grass root, community-based, voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer, through education, advocacy, and service. PRAYAS is a non-profit organization established in 2008. Our main focus is and will continue to be locally in the areas of Purba Medinipur district. We are a group of friends that have been directly helping and home based care giving with the fight of this disease called Cancer. Every member of NARIKELDAHA PRAYAS is a volunteer. They do not receive any compensation for their time devoted to this. Help make a difference in the lives of family and friends. NARIKELDAHA PRAYAS provides high quality nursing totally free, to give terminally ill people the choice of dying at home supported by their families. We also have 15 volunteers in the district, who are actively promote quality of life for people with cancer and provide support for their families. These services are completely free to patients. Specialist doctors at our society are investigating how cancer develops to find better ways of treating the disease in the future.
