Mission; Makro Foundation seeks to work towards the betterment of society through the 3 Es: Empowerment of individuals with emotional or psychological health problems, support training and create a resource of top class skilled professionals in the area of mental health, so that communities link awareness with action and save lives. Education and awareness to make road and rail safety as everybody’s priority, thereby reducing the mishaps. Effective support through Quality education, Livelihood support, and Rehabilitation to the most marginalized section of society to alleviate hunger deaths. Makro Foundation is non-profit organization of the Makro Group initiated as a part of Corporate Social responsibility. The foundation primarily focuses on Prevention of Deaths due to Avoidable Mishaps, through education and counseling.

Specific areas include: Prevention of Suicidal Deaths(Suicidehelpdesk.org), Prevention of Accidental Deaths(Rasta). As a secondary focus, it takes up initiatives in child education
