  •  The PSVK was started by help of few social workers to initiate unique model of social work, Self Help Group Creation, formal education and computer education through community participation first in Patna district of Bihar and further replicated in other district of Bihar and Jharkhand. PSVK visualizes to create a value added society based on social justice, unity, integrity, equality, peace trust and freedom through community organization, participation and empowerment by providing equal access to right to food, clothing, shelter, education, health and information Mission Improving well being of poor women and their families by providing life skills, products and services. 
  • Goal  • To reach 50,000 poor women and families in during fy 09-10, 50% of them would be from poorest and poor families, 40% from old age, differently able and destitute. • Provide life skills training such as planning for better business, HIV/AIDS, learning games for adolescent girls, vermi composting, mushroom/vegetable cultivation etc. • Provide products & services - credit, linkage of organic farming, marketing, packaging, processing, and their entitlement benefits. • Improve well being – increase income of a supported family by Rs. 1000/- per month. Reduce health expenditure of family by Rs. 500/- and increase enrollment of children to the school. Objective : 1. To promote Organic farming (fruit and vegetable) animal husbandry for the economic development of poor through model of SHG and cooperative by introducing micro finance, insurance, and various social security schemes. 2. To promote computer literacy among rural women by creating awareness, implementation and research of existing GO/NGO programmes and by establishing kiosk at Panchayat level. 3. To provide linkages for better health facilities especially in rural areas through awareness, and implementation of various health development programmes in collaboration with government department and donor agencies. 4. To cater to the overall development of mother and child, widow and destitute, old age, orphanage, blind and other disadvantageously placed section of the society. 5. To create awareness about Malaria, AIDS, T.B. leprosy and other common disease and work for the prevention and treatment. To work for the entitlement realization of rural poor through Right to information Act. Strategy : Organization of groups of tribal, dalits and other disadvantageously placed sections of the society through awareness, motivation and training.• Facilitation and mobilization of groups/CBOs for control and management of natural resources. • Capacity building of groups through training, exposure, and field visit • Participation of community in implementation of need based programmed • Campaign, advocacy, lobby for the macro issues Process of Enterprise development:

  •  Backward and forward linkages – insurance, infrastructure, power, marketing Entitlement realization:

  •  Coordination with GO for Immunization and maternity benefit scheme 
  •  Survey the drop out child from school 
  •  Monitoring of Employment Guarantee scheme (EGS) 
  •  Creating demand for information through Right to Information act (RTI) Empowerment through IT 
  •  Computer literacy 
  •  Establishment of Information Centre 
  •  Establishment of Kiosk Work Experience : The organization has been working in Patna, Gaya, Supaul , Samastipur and Rohtash , District in Bihar state. Deoghar and Jamtara district in Jharkhand It has expertise on Computer Education, Women Development and agriculture development of people through community organization, training, exposure and marketing of rural products. Training has been imparted on agriculture and agro based industries. Most of the persons trained under various programmers were employed through bank linkage and further follow up programmed of the organization. Technology transfer has another area of intervention of the organization. Brief report has been enclosed in the annual report.
