Udisha, NGO is a voluntary, non-political, not for profit and social organization registered under Societies Registration Act by Govt. of Delhi, India. Udisha has been granted special consultative with Economic & Social Commission of the United Nations. Udisha is also the Laureate-2011 International WWSF Prize- for Innovative Prevention of Abuse and Violence against Children and Youth. It is a conglomeration of professionals, civil servants, child psychologists/ counsellors, educationists, social activists and environmentalists. It is involved in multifarious activities like sustainable development, environment, adult literacy, child rights, prevention of child abuse, crime against women, youth employment, training and development and good governance. In addition to WWSF, the Udisha has associated itself with many international Organizations like Caretakers of Environment International/ Netherlands, International Society for Prevention of Child Abuse & Neglect as a coalition partner or associated member. Amongst other aims and purposes of the organization, the main are: To work for all-round development of children, youth, women and downtrodden sections of the society To make efforts to arouse awareness amongst children and women against social crimes like child abuse, child labour, eve teasing and rape etc. and also to sensitize and train them for self defence.
