Medicinal plants and conservation: issues and approaches
Medicinal plants and conservation: issues and approaches Description: Many types of actions can be taken in favour of the conservation and sustainable use of medicinal plants. Some of these are undertaken directly at the places where the plants are found, while others are less 'direct', involving commercial systems, ex situ conservation and bioprospecting. This paper was prepared for a regional workshop on “Wise Practices and Experiential Learning in the Conservation and Management of Himalayan Medicinal Plants”, 15-20 December 2002 For futher information please visit: http://medplant.icimod.org/docs/Publications/
