Human Resources Policy
H.R. (Human Resources) Policy: To start and run any organization manpower is required. This policy is a guideline which will help you and others in the organization to know the terms and conditions of the employment, staff benefits, staff contracts, working conditions, staff development, grievance procedures, salaries, job descriptions, short and long term employment, probation period, change management, review processess etc. etc. This will also help to you know about the organization, its objectives, goals, mission etc. Each organization whether small or big should have a policy. It is very important to have and particularly when new staff joins it will help them to understand the organisaton and its policies related to staff. These guidelines needs to be reviewed from time to time and as and when some changes are made, these needs to be updated. In big organizations staff are appointed to look after the human resources, however, most of the smaller organizations may not be having staff independently to look after the human resources – this is basically the organization may not be having sufficient funds to appoint staff and also the number of staff in the organization may be small. However, as mentioned above, HR is vital for smooth running of an organization hence at one point or other the organization should ensure to have staff to look after the HR affairs. We would cover separately about the detailed points related to HR.
