USAID Small Grants Program Overview:Grants under the USAID Small Grants Program are time limited (for one to two years’ time duration) that may vary in size from $50,000 to $250,000. In the current grant cycle, USAID Small Grants Program is looking for applications from Pakistani Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), Community Based Organizations (CBOs) and private sector organizations seeking to secure funding in the areas of:
Geographically focusing Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, FATA and Khyber Pukhtunkhwa province, the program is designed to fund innovative activities that promote USAID’s development objectives that may not necessarily fit into existing U.S. government programs. A competitive proposal must meet the following criteria:
Reflect evidence-based good practices in the field and/or represent an innovative approach; Be independently developed by the applicant; Be consistent with and supportive of USAID/Pakistan’s strategy and objectives; Be able to meet a specific programmatic need; Not be an advance proposal for forthcoming USAID solicitation that will be competitively awarded. Prospective grantees will be required to undergo a financial review by Small Grants and Ambassador’s Fund Program prior to the award.
While preparing applications, the applicants should ensure that the timeline for proposed projects should begin approximately 4 months after submission of an application (to allow for grants processing time) with a completion date no later than April 30, 2017.
