The vision of SWORD Foundation shall be "To support sustainable development initiatives around the world through life-changing programs that educate, inspire and result in more active global citizens." To promote the establishment of a modern, healthy, educated and perfect society: “work to improve the quality of lives through participatory empowerment activities as well as increase the promotion of their rights and interests from their own development agenda.”

MISSION
The mission of SWORD Foundation is providing children and the youth the tools and capacity to healthy reproductive and quality health care, provide quality education and; alleviate poverty by helping children and the youth build secure, productive and healthy communities for their families.

AREAS OF OPERATION

The Broad Areas of Operation would include:

• Raise funds to support people in Need Services such as Health Care and access to Education (examination fees, school fees etc.)
• Raise funds to support Homeless Children and Orphans
• Awareness Creation on Malnutrition
• Create awareness on Small Scale Enterprise Development among the youth and women.
• Gender Mainstreaming
• Domestic Violence (DV) and Gender-based Violence (GBV)
• Child’s Rights Advocates
• Women’s Rights Advocates
• Human rights
• Conflict Resolution and Peace Building


Sub-Areas of Operation

• Adoption of vulnerable children
• Provision of basic needs such as food, clothing and shelter for under-privileged children and the youth
• Promotion of family health care in rural communities including HIV/AIDS awareness


AIM
SWORD Foundation aims are to support the young people’s physical, spiritual and educational development and to develop educational initiatives in the field of civil society, conflict resolution, human rights and peace-building, to promote intercultural relations in society or Youth.
to build the capacities of children and the youth to lead healthy life styles and have sound mind and help provide quality education for children and the youth through fundraising, human rights and the total development of the human person and his or appropriate integration into society.

OBJECTIVES

SWORD Foundation shall be:

Clause 1: To help the youth realize his or her full potentials and become useful
Citizen through capacity building
Clause 2: To offer the women and children a voice
Clause 3: To raise funds to support needy but promising pupils and students with quality
Education and health care
Clause 4: To encourage young people to participate in a wide range of activities appropriate to their age and stage of development.
Clause 5: To help young people to participate in the life of the Unit, to express their views and play an active part in planning and management of their own activities
Clause 6: To help young people to gain a greater understanding and respect for their own traditions and those of others by engaging in programmes that reflect the principles of equality, diversity and inter dependence.
Clause 7: To assist young people to become aware of their rights and responsibilities as active citizens
Clause 8: To help in communal labor for the development of the environment
Clause 9: Adoption of powerful motivational strategies to know what is important to our members and other people in the community.
Clause 10: To carry out and promote both environmental improvement and practical conservation,
Clause 11: to educate, encourage and support the local population in environmental practice.
Clause 12: Promoting sport, community recreation and play facilities.
Clause 13: Promoting the health and well-being of the residents of the area and working together as residents regardless of age, ethnic origin, ability, sex, belief or political affiliation recognising the value of our many differences.
