Revive , Preserve ,protect and promote the culture heritages of Mithila. 2.Co-ordinate and evaluate the function of voluntary organisation engages in cultural activities like Maithili Music, Dance, Drama ,Mithila Painting and other fine arts to provide assistance for their growth and development. 3. Encourage the exchange of ideas between various school of art and enrichment of techniques by organisation conference, lectures ,festivals and exhibition. 4. Encourage artist and organisation to achieve artistic excellence by organisation competition and awarding prize and distinctions. 5. Co-operate with similar other institutions and associations for the furtherance of the objectives and for enrichment of Indian culture as well as State Culture as a whole. 6. Encourage development of amateur dramatic activity to sponsor Music ,Dance and Drama festivals and to hold exhibition of Painting photography and sculpture. 7. Award scholarship and prizes to deserving Maithili artists 8. Encourage and foster the revival and development of vanishing art from. 9.Frame such programs as would encourage and involve the youth of the region through the process of seminars , exchange, workshops and such cultural activity relating to preservation development and dissemination of cultural heritage of Bihar and India also.
