Areas of Interest:The Colin Higgins Foundation's Youth Courage Awards recognize young Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Two-Spirit, Queer, and Questioning (LGBTQ) individuals who demonstrate courage in the face of adversity and discrimination based on gender and/or sexual orientation.

The awards honor young people who have transformed their experiences with bigotry and discrimination into opportunities to inspire others by taking action, rallying support, building community, and working to change the systems and institutions that impact their lives.

Honorees will receive a $10,000 grant and an all-expenses paid trip to Pride weekend in New York or Los Angeles. Each winner also receives a trip to the Creating Change Conference to network and learn with other outstanding LGBTQ leaders from across the nation.

Nominees must be 20 or under at the time of nomination and living in the U.S.
