Call for projects "Promotion of family farming in West Africa (Pafao)" 2017

Given the rapid growth of cities and the increasing demand from urban consumers for changes in urban-rural relations, family farming is already strengthening the capacity of a country or region to feed Its urban populations through local production and the reinforcement of efficient short circuits. It is the question of its amplifying effect which is to be supported.

In order to support West African farmers, the other actors in the sectors and their organizations, the  Fondation de France  and the French Committee for International Solidarity (CFSI) joined forces in 2009 to launch a program to strengthen family agriculture in West Africa.
