SUBJECT and OBJECTIVE What is planning? Strategy? Why organizational plan? - To make the participants understand the importance and need for strategic planning - Preparatory work in strategic planning and people who need to be involved in strategic planning - Understanding overview of the strategic planning and planning parameters - Application of Appreciative Inquiry into strategic planning - Stating objectives of strategic planning in NGO - Preparing a schedule for strategic planning An organizational Inquiry - An environment and resource inquiry of NGO - Understand the status of the organization, micro and macro environment in the discovery process, applying the Appreciative Inquiry and SWOT tools Propositions and strategic objectives for the future - Application of SMART tool in deriving objectives - Understanding and preparing the VMV & goals of the organization Preparation of Action Plans - Knowledge and skill in preparation of Action Plans - Results based Action Plans: output, outcome, impact Organizational Management: Monitoring and Evaluation: - Understanding monitoring and evaluation - Understanding strategic planning and PME step by step–BVchart - How to conduct monitoring and evaluation - Monitoring and Evaluating Performance - Performance Measurement - Developing indicators, means of verification and results chain Course Language: English Mr.S.Suresh Reddy, an associate and staff of Bala Vikasa for the last 7 years, is an expert facilitator in Strategic Planning and Organizational Management. He is a post graduate in Socialwork and holds a masters degree in Journalism. With over 20 years of experience in Development Sector, the fields of children and community development, Mr. Suresh has past experience of giving trainings to NGOs and CBOs in 8 countries in Asia (India, Philippines, Bangaldesh and Sri Lanka) and South America (Mexico,Guatemala, Honduras, El-Salvador), on the subjects of organizational management and community development. The maximum intake number for the training program is only 25 across the country. Methodology: Short lectures, Group exercises, Presentations and Video analysis. Participatory methodology will be followed throughout the workshop with interactive sessions and discussions. Award of Certificate: The participants will be awarded a certificate of participation on conclusion of the course. The participants of this program are expected to pay only Rs.2250 towards Registration and program cost. This amount should be sent by DD drawn in favour of “Bala Vikasa People Development Training Center” and dispatch the same by post / courier. Upon submission of your original tickets we will reimburse upto INR 1000 towards TA expenses.
