Poor Patients Financial Support

Activities: Health/Nutrition,HIV AIDS/SRH

 Rashtriya Arogya Nidhi (RAN)

The Scheme provides for financial assistance to patients, living below poverty line who is uffering from major life threatening diseases, to receive medical treatment at any of the uper specialty Govt. hospitals / institutes or other Govt. hospitals .The financial assistance o such patients is released in the form of ‘one time grant’ to the Medical Superintendent of the hospital in which the treatment is being received.

Budgetary provisions are made to fund the RAN Scheme by the Central Government.

Only for persons below the poverty line suffering from specified life threatening disease.

Types of Benefits: Treatment Subsidies the cost of poor patients.
 

How to Avail Benefits
 
The following persons can be contacted to avail the scheme:

A) Signature of the M.O. incharge not below the level of Consultant/Asstt. Professor.

B) Counter signature of the Head of the Department with Official Seal.

C) Certified that the Patient’s Particulars given above are True to the Best of my Knowledge and Belief.

D) Signature of the Medical Superintendent of the Hospital/Medical Institution with Official Seal.
 

Validity of the Scheme: Perpetual
