Mobile for Good Awards Categories The Mobile for Good Awards aim to recognise, promote and support mobile innovations for driving social change in India. The Awards programme is back for its fifth consecutive year in 2015.
The Mobile for Good Awards 2015 will recognise eleven life changing mobile solutions through two Awards categories that are addressing critical areas of health, education, agriculture & environment, government women and inclusive development through unique innovations and usage of mobile & wireless related technologies. Five winning NPOs solutions will receive access to funding & mentorship.
This year, in an effort to curate unique mobile-led innovations that are driving social impact in India, we will also launch a first of its kind- Social Apps Hub, in partnership with key collaborators. Award Categories The 2015 Awards consist of two Awards categories, namely 'Leading Change Maker – NPO Category' and 'Leading Change Maker – For profit category'. Each category will recognise five best-practice mobile technology related innovations across four defined sub-categories of education, women empowerment & inclusive development, health and agriculture & environment. NPO Social Enterprise M4G 2015 Awards Leading Change Maker - NPO Category
Focused on recognising projects / initiatives by NGOs NFPs Government Organisations Adding another milestone to the Awards this year, we will also recognise a Government-led solution for achievement in the NPO category.
The M4G 2015 Award winners will be selected based on their eligibility and demonstration of success, scalability and sustainability of their initiatives in the following areas of:
M4G - Education Education M4G - Health Health M4G - Women Empowerment Woment Empowerment and Inclusive development M4G - Agriculture & Environment Agriculture and Environment M4G - Government Solutions Government Solutions The Awards Grant shall be applicable to only the five winning NGOs in the NPO Category. All M4G Award Winners and finalists will get a chance to display their unique innovations in the Social Apps Hub that we will launch in 2015.
Education Health Women Empowerment and Inclusive development Agriculture and Environment Government Solutions The Projects executed by government agencies/ departments/ministries under this category shall be capable to demonstrating impacts on the community through application of Mobile Platform/ Technology based best practices. Project under this category cut across all the themes defined under Schedule VII. This segment shall cover project that shall be capable of showcasing responsible use of mobile technology and encouraging leveraging of mobile platforms for the benefit of society as enlisted below across the different themes:
Disaster Management Education Health Women Empowerment and Inclusive Development Agriculture and Environment Sustenance of community development programmes (in health, education, etc.) Sanitation programmes Livelihood enhancement Public distribution system Eradicating poverty, hunger and malnutrition Any other in line with the above
