Opening of the call for projects in support of decentralized cooperation" Youth III
Introduction:Youth and its openness to the world are a priority for the government and an asset for France and its territories. This call for projects, open from 16 January to 17 April 2017 , accompanies on the one hand the mobilization of French territorial authorities for the mobility of young people in their territory, within the framework of their decentralized cooperation projects with local and regional authorities Partners and their partnerships in vocational training, which is key to the economic development of Northern and Southern territories and the employability of young people. The call for projects "Youth III" continues the momentum initiated by the MAEDI with the calls for projects " International Youth Mobility " (2015-2016) and " Youth II " (2016-2017). These two programs have enabled European and international mobility of more than 320 young people. The Department of Foreign Affairs and International Development intends to continue its support for the internationalization of young people from all territories. This call for projects will support decentralized cooperation projects lasting 12 to 24 months . This call for projects will be reopened on 1 December 2017 in order to be able to co-finance 12-month projects starting in 2018. Three ministries with key competences in terms of openness to the world of youth, through training as well as voluntary involvement, work together to enable local and regional authorities to offer an international experience to young people Of their territory: The Department of Foreign Affairs and International Development; The Ministry of the City, Youth and Sports; The Department of Agriculture, Agri-Food and Forestry. The volunteers and the Civil Service Agency are also partners in this call for projects, as well as the Schneider Electric Foundation, which aims in particular to develop in the emerging countries the vocational training curricula for sustainable energy. As part of its partnership with the DAECT, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) is also supporting this call for projects. Details of the participation of each of the partners in this call for projects are given in Annex 1. This call for projects revolves around two independent components - local and regional authorities which can apply on one or both: Part 1 "Vocational training for young people"; Strand 2 "International youth mobility within the framework of voluntary service".
