Save teh Children Request for Proposals for Study of Status of Implementation of Right to Free and Compulsory Education Act and Rules in Delhi 

Invitation: Save the Children is the leading independent child rights organization that fights for children's rights and delivers immediate and lasting improvement to children's lives worldwide. Save the Children was founded in 1919 by Eglantyne Jebb, as a response to the condition in Europe immediately following the First World War. Save the Children, a federation of 28 members with similar vision, mission, and values for children, works in more than 110 countries to form a truly international movement for children.
 
This study will be conducted in collaboration with DCPCR (Delhi Commission for Protection of Child’s Rights). The overall objectives of the study is to examine the status of compliance of Right to Free and compulsory Education Act, 2009 and Delhi Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Rules, 2011 in Delhi.
 
Specific objectives
•         To understand whether schools are meeting the prescribed infrastructure norms and providing all the entitlements to the children in need as mandated under RtE Act.


•         To examine how the structures like SMC as mandated under RTE are working in the government schools.


•         To explore whether the schools are providing child-friendly and inclusive environment in the schools.


•         To assess the existing mechanism of grievance redressal in the schools in Delhi

The subject line of the e-mail should read: “Application for [Study of Status of Implementation of Right to Free and Compulsory Education Act and Rules in Delhi]”.The e-mail should be addressed to
p.thatte@savethechildren.in, with copy to:m.sukheja@savethechildren.in.
 
The following set of documents required to be enclosed as part of application.
 
•       Brief proposal (which includes providing the technical specifications like an estimate of the sample size, methodology, methods to be used during data collection, plan of analysis, plan of data validation and proposed timeframe).


•         Experience of similar assignments.

•       Financial proposal (budget breakup).

•         Capability document of your organization (in case you are associated with an agency)

•        CVs of the persons involved in the assignment.
