Funds for NGOs The International Growth Centre (IGC) invites researchers to submit proposals for high-calibre research projects relevant to growth policies in developing countries. The deadline for submission is 11:59pm, 01 December 2014, GMT time.
This is a comprehensive IGC call for proposals which encompasses its two central programmes: the Research and Country Programmes. The Research Programme is primarily focused on the production of cutting-edge and policy-relevant academic research that goes towards informing effective policymaking on economic growth in developing countries. The Country Programme is focused on tailoring top-quality research with the specific growth policy needs of the IGC’s partner countries. While funding decisions will be made centrally, projects can be funded by either the Country or the Research Programme. The IGC runs this call on a six-monthly basis. The application form should be filled and submitted by email only to researchprogramme@theigc.org. Please title emails with the following subject line: “Research theme (one of the four from the Application Form)/Country Office, Project Title”. Copies of these documents and the form are also available on the IGC website. Please note that the attached ‘IGC Research Priorities’ document lists the priority areas within the four themes (State Effectiveness, Firms Capabilities, Cities, and Energy). The major questions in the four thematic areas and the gaps in knowledge in these areas are discussed in detail in the attached IGC Research Strategy and Evidence Papers (on State, Firms, Energy, and Cities) . The document also highlights particular research opportunities in IGC’s partner countries (currently Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Ghana, India – Central and Bihar, Liberia, Myanmar, Mozambique, Pakistan, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia). Other countries of IGC interest include Kenya, Nigeria, Malawi and Afghanistan. We encourage all applicants to make use of these documents when formulating their research proposals as they highlight many of the more pressing questions in policies for economic growth in each of the four main themes and in each of our countries. While the IGC continues to welcome all funding proposals on pertinent growth issues in developing countries, we are especially interested in the questions Click here for Criteria and Applicatin Forms Other grants National Commission for Women invites Applications for LAP and PMLA RFP Study to Explore Link between Skill Development and Productivity RFP-Developing Strategy and Action Plan To reduce Energy Requirement Biomass Consumption UNDP RFP for Production of Documentary Films Call for Proposals Public Diplomacy Small Scale Projects in the Field of Development Co-operation Call for proposals for MRC Wellcome Trust Joint Health Research System Call for Proposals IGC Rufford Foundation Small Grants Annual Conservation Grants Jobs Business Development Manager Naandi Foundationl Other Jobs: http://www.ngoportal.org/developement-jobs.html
