GENESIS Dalit Vikas Abhiyan Samiti was formed on 18 June 1992 and was registered under the Society Registration Act XXI, 1860. dated 13,july 1996; DALIT VIKAS ABHIYAN SAMITI is a right based civil society organization working towards empowerment of Dalits and women through addressing factors of exclusion and advancement of their rights in close coordination and support from broader secular, democratic, progressive and egalitarian social movements without losing its dalit perspective. Over the last 24 years, its developmental interventions are attenuated to augment the increased participation of marginalized communities through various enabling strategies and programs such as Advocacy, sensitization, issue based campaigns, community capacity building and networking and to ensure fundamental socio-economic rights, including human rights, and resolutions of various National and International Bodies. OUR GOAL: To establish an egalitarian society for the less privileged; especially DALITS; community people who can enjoy rights, liberty, equality and fraternity by enabling themselves independent.
 
OUR MISSION: To empower the Dalits and underprivileged community people to maximize their potential and enable them to become independent and self-reliant through foster a conducive environment to enable the less privileged to assert their rights and live in dignity.
 
OUR VISION: To build the capacities of discriminated groups to raise their voices and represent themselves in activities to combat Factors leading to exclusion, socio-economic discrimination and inequalities.
 
Objective of DVAS: The prime objective of DVAS in the areas of social, economic, cultural and education. It includes providing aid to poor and needy. DVAS predominantly focuses on the area of awareness for the need of education. The specific areas to work for DVAS is
 
• To serve the people through yoga programmes the area of health services.
• To create awareness for protection of environment.
• To work for the protection of different cultures and monuments of historical importance.
• To organize programmes for women and child development, and also work towards the all-round development of Dalits and other backward castes.
• To do every developmental and innovative works this can prove to be beneficial for the society with the help of Government and Non-Governmental Organisations and C.S.R. And other works which can are beneficial for the society.
