Activities: Running a Vocational Training Centre for Mentally Challanged Adults 

Aim/Objective/Mission:

 

Our Vision: A society where children and persons with mental handicap can live a life of dignity through sharing equal rights and opportunities with their non disabled peers. Our

Mission: To build a right attitude and sensitivity within the society and the state to accept children and persons with mental handicap as equal members through collective effort. To enable children and persons with mental handicap to blossom to their fullest to become participatory members of the society.

Our Activities: 1) A sheltered workshop & Vocational Training Centre with the following products: Rakhi, Packaging of spices, Food Processing and Handicrafts items.

2) A day-care centre for persons with severe mental retardation.

3) Sports clinics at the local community level.

4) Conducting Training Programmes, Seminars and workshops to stress upon certain important aspects concerning the children/persons with mental retardation, their social and legal rights in particular.

5) Parent to parent counseling.

6) Net working, Advocacy and lobbying.

7) Awareness campaigns.

8) Organising integrated programmes.

9) Organising Nature Study Camps & Expeditions for mentally challenged persons.

10) Respite care and short stay service in community level whenever in need.
