Aims and Objectives: The aims and objectives for which the Society is
established are the following:
• . To promote education, especially girl education.
• To conduct educational, environmental and sociological studies.
• To promote use of Information & Communication Technology (ICT) for socio-economic development of the community.
• To organise training and refresher programmes for the volunteers and officials of different Non-Government Organisations to strengthen the development skills of trainees through IEC (information, education and communication) which they can use in the development sector.
• To disseminate information and knowledge, to edit, publish, and print literature and documents, maintain libraries, and to organise seminars/ conference/ meetings etc.
• To promote participation of youth (unemployed as well as students) in income generation activities.
• To establish educational, professional and vocational institutions that would strengthen the developmental process.
• To organise lectures, seminars and workshops to help or strengthen the character building process.
• To prepare the Kashmiri Handicraft/Handloom goods in the homes of the Artisans jointly according to their choice or in their units.
• To purchase the required raw material instruments, tool & accessories & machineries if required for better production.
• To focus on formation of handloom weaver groups as a visible production group & to assist the handloom weavers groups for becoming self-sustainable & upgrade the skill of handloom weavers/workers to produce diversified product with improved quality to meet Market requirements.
• To get Loan/ credit from the members & from the Financial Institutions Banks & ensure direct interaction between producer (Member) & buyer for promotion of Handicraft product.
To spread awareness about HIV/AIDS and work for the welfare of people living with HIV/AIDS.
To work in the field of reproductive and child health services.
• To create awareness about communicable and vector-borne disease control measures through better hygiene and sanitation.
• To narrow the difference between the health status of people on the basis of their religion, region, caste, class and gender.
