Children Introduction: Shikhar Yuva Manch ( SYM) is a leading non governmental organization which works with grass root people, for grass root people aiming at their around development emphasizing on children issues. It is a team of young and dynamic youths who are determined to bring social change through the behavior change of people and to change of prospect. It had started working with the drop out children of Bilaspur district. SYM thinks that the children are the plinth of the society who need their rights to be reserved. Now SYM extended its target to Kabirdham (Kawardha), Sarguja . Its intervention is on child rights, sustainable livelihood, environment and gender equality. Vision Creation of equal, equitable, self-reliant, progressive and non-violent society. Mission: Work for the most Exploited, Excluded, Victimized and Marginalized poor people. • Promotion of the universal human rights •Conservation, reasonable consumption of natural resources •Love towards our glorious heritage and culture. Objectives •To undertake the different kinds of programs and conduct the activities that help for empowering and uplifting of an excluded disadvantaged, poor and marginalized people including women, child , tribal and dalit. •To enhance awareness of human rights and democracy. •To develop the advocacy skill and capacity of local civil society’s for good governance. •To carry out the activities of rehabilitation for the person with disabilities. •To engage in conflict management and peace building process. •To make effort for maximum representation and active participation of women. •To run supportive programs for protection of environment and bio-diversity. •To promote alternative interventions for their sustainable livelihood and food security.
