Tribal & Indegeneous
The aims and objectives of the Vikas Parishad shall be (1) To effectively establish and promote, by every means, closer, social and cultural relationship among the Adiwasi of the country and enhance mutual understanding and goodwill. (2) To preserve, promote and safeguard the tribal religion, culture, traditions and languages. (3) To preserve, promote, safeguard, watch and to act in furtherance of the rights, interests and privileges of the Adiwasi, in economic, social and cultural fields and to bring them in the main stream of the nation. (4) To open Balwadies, Primary Schools, Secondary Schools, Higher Secondary Schools, all type of Colleges, Nursing Schools, Adiwasi Universities, Libraries and Social Institution to further the cause of education and Social welfare of the Adiwasi. (5) To open Primary Health Centers, Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Mobile Hospitals and to provide ambulance service in the Adiwasi area of the country. (6) To further the spirit of fellow feeling, service solidarity cooperation and mutual help among the members by constitutional means. (7) To work towards the implementation of privileges and concessions admissible and available from the popular Government for the upliftment and welfare of the Adiwasi and also to strive at obtaining further concessions and amenities for them. (8) To associate, cooperate and facilitate, with similar other social organisations for the upliftnunt of Adiwasis. (9) To supervise, direct and coordinate the activities of the branches of the Vikas Parishad. (10) To extend reasonable aid or relief to unemployed Adiwasi. (11) To make adequate arrangements and to provide or contribute fund for the prosecution or defense or any legal action in which the Vikas Parishad may be involved for the purpose of securing and protecting such rights, interests and privileges of the Adiwasi in General or any member in particular as will arise in the case of employment under any Government or quasi - Government organization. (12) To secure increasing association of Adiwasis in the States and Union Territories of the Republic of India. (13) To establish an effective and strong fellowship by lawful and non-violent means to raise the status and improve the social, religious, economic and educational level of the Adiwasi and to secure for them the right to social security and social justice and a rightful place as envisaged in the Indian Constitution. (14) To undertake, organize and facilitate study courses, conferences, workshop, seminars and lectures for improvement of socio-economic condition of Adiwasi. (15) To undertake and provide for publication of a journals, books, research papers and periodicals to create an awareness among Adiwasi and to impart training, to promote mutual understanding and welfare of Adiwasis. (16) To establish Adiwasi T.V. channels, maintain libraries, information centers to facilitate the researcher to study the culture of Adiwasi. (17) To constitute or establish Village/Taluka/Tehsil/District/Shambhag/State/Zonal level branches to promote the objectives of the Vikas Parishad. (18) To issue appeals and applications for money and funds in furtherance of the said objectives and to accept gifts donations and subscription in cash and kind, securities and of any property either movable or immovable. (19) To invest and deal with funds of the Vikas Parishad. (20) To acquire, purchase or otherwise own or take on lease or hire any where in the country, temporarily or permanently, any movable or immovable property necessary for the furtherance of the objectives of Vikas Parishad. (21) To sell, mortgage, lease, exchange and otherwise transfer or dispose of all or any property movable or immovable, of the Vikas Parishad for the furtherance of the objectives of the Vikas Parishad. (22) To construct, maintain, alter, improve or develop any buildings or works necessary or convenient for the purposes of the Vikas Parishad. (23) To offer prizes to brilliant students, grant of scholarships and stipends for needy and poor students of the community. (24) To do all such other lawful things as are conductive or incidental to the attainment of the above objectives. (25) To construct the buildings for all purpose, run administration & maintain all the building as also manage the activities in fulfillment of the objectives of the Vikas Parishad. (26) To undertake any Project/scheme declared by any Govt., with or without foreign aid or support by any other organizations of the country or foreign organisation. (27) To open all type of technical and professional colleges with all courses such as; colleges for Information Technology, Computer Technology, Management, Engineering and Medical colleges for Graduate/Post Graduate level degree and diploma courses, Physiotherapy, Nursing, and other paramedical courses with the help of Central/State Government and foreign aid. All these institutions will be run under the banner of Vikas Parishad and shall be affiliated with the institute of repute, if necessary within or outside the country. (28) To open technical Institutions to promote technical skills in the filed of Computer Programming, software development, internet/intranet, hardware maintenance, creation of data warehouse, conducting graduation/post graduation level degree courses with the affiliation or without affiliation . (29) To make financial assistance for providing legal and other assistance whenever the interests of Adiwasis is affected by any decision of government or other agencies. (30) To establish public, private or Cooperative Banks for the development of Adiwasis and to run the all banks. (31) In case of natural calamities, funds will be arranged with the help of Central/State/UT government or any other sources to help the weaker section of the society. The Vikas Parishad will also undertake the repair work of house (s) in partial or reconstruction of complete house (s) in case of damage. (32) To bring Adiwasis in the mainstream of economic development & their integration without losing their distinct identity, awareness programmes about the provisions made in the Constitution of India to safeguard the interest of tribals will be organized. (33) To create an awareness relating to the safeguards provided for the Adiwasis under the Constitution of India or under any other law for the time being in force or under any order of the Government to implement the various developmental schemes. (34) To create an awareness about the various schemes launched by Central /State/UT government or any financial assistance provided by Foreign agency to empower the tribal women of the county in the various fields such as; Child & Women Development, education, employment, health & family welfare, atrocities & exploitation, women hostel , old age home, agriculture, forestry and starting projects for their implementation. (35) If any decision taken by Central/ State / UT government or any Institution which affect the general social development of the Adivasis, in such situation the Vikas Parishad will take up the issue to redress the grievances with the appropriate authority. It will also arrange the funds to meet the requirements of legal activities. (36) To open Agriculture, Animal husbandry colleges, Dairy farm, Forestry and Mining colleges, All projects of Forest and environment shall be undertaken by the Vikas Parishad. |
