AIMS & OBJECTIVES The broad Aims & objectives of the Organization are: 1. To help the visually handicapped children without distinction of caste, colour and creed, to become independent and useful citizens of the country. 2. To teach them Job oriented handicrafts and arts-such as canning, candle making, instrument and vocal music, typing computers and all other purposeful handicrafts etc. 3. To prepare the visually handicapped children for adoption of suitable career and employment with Private, Public and Govt. Organization. 4. To establish or acquire for above purpose proper work centers, training centers and equip them with proper tools. 5. To promote and help and develop the interest of the blind in the Union Territory of Delhi. The blind from all over India can have education form Nursery to class VIII (8th) with boarding and lodging facilities free of cost. All other facilities are also provided to them free of cost. 6. To organize and promote and take part in competitions, exhibition, shows and all other activities for furtherance of the cause of the blind and to establish education and cultural institutions for the welfare and rehabilitation of the blind. 7. To raise funds for carrying on work of the institution through subscription, donation, grant and all other legitimate means available. The donation and subscriptions are being asked as the grant is too less to meet the requirements of the institution. 8. To work as Non-official body mainly dependent on public support for carrying on its aims and objectives of providing training in handicrafts to visually handicapped. 9. To try and discourage begging among the younger generation of the blind and particularly those under training of this institute. 10. It is desirable to subscribe support or organize blind welfare schemes by arranging medical aid camps, open welfare centers and promote common welfare schemes with or without assistance of the Government and other Non Government Organizations. 11. To do all things as are incidental and conducive to the attainment of the above objects. 12. To open and establish branches of the Association anywhere in India subject to the decision being approved by the Executive Committee
