NEER Foundation was founded in 2004 after realizing the urgent need for capacity building of different stakeholders involved in the management and protection of the environment and society. It was registered on 09 - 12 -2004 under Societies Registration Act 1860. Since its appearance NEER Foundation has worked untiringly towards developing a sustainable environment for all by means of grass root level activities, policy advocacy, mass awareness, community action, field demonstrations and information dissemination.
Mission: To work towards a pollution free world where every individual can have a healthy existence and promotes sustainable development in every sphere. Through its local and national initiatives NEER Foundation links up to global initiatives and believes in creating positive global impacts.
The organization’s approach towards its aims has always begun from the grass root level, i.e., community. It has been the foremost tool to work along the community and organize them in such a way to enable them to achieve their own development. Addressing the problems and issues of common man in present, its impact on his life, leads to a detailed research on all its aspects.
NEER has undertaken several projects in partnerships with Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change, Ministry of Earth Sciences, Ministry of Water Resources & Ganga Rejuvenation, World Water Monitoring Day, CEEW, The Resource Alliance, India Water Partnership (IWP), IGSSS New Delhi, WWF India, etc.
Activities: Water Conservation, Save River Campaign, Revival of Historical ponds, Rainwater harvesting in urban areas, Forest & Biodiversity conservation, Organic farming, Agriculture innovations, Research & Reporting of vegetables, soil quality, manures, ponds, etc.,Disaster management, Waste management and Environment Days Celebration.
