Child in Need Institute (CINI) is a non-profit organization of India, working relentlessly to ensure social development throughout the country. Catering to more than five million people, CINI has been instrumental in highlighting the marginalized sections of the society through its various integrated and community-based interventions and programmes. Founded in 1974 by esteemed pediatrician Dr. Samir Chaudhuri, CINI has always aimed at bettering the livelihood of women, children and young people placed in diverse conditions of vulnerability, who otherwise cannot maintain a decent standard of living. CINI stands firmly on the dedicated workmanship of 1500 professionals working for sustainable development of child, adolescent and woman in need. CINI is strongly roofed by the four pillars, which also is the thrust area for CINI's majority programmes, being EDUCATION, PROTECTION, HEALTH and NUTRITION.
