Vision, mission and values
Misbah was created with the intention of ensuring decision-making about improving access to health and improved quality of life close to the grass roots of a variety of communities that the members identified with.
Since the members of Misbah come from a disadvantage side of the society, our mission was that, the marginalized communities has a voice and better access to treatment
Misbah has a community of people treated for TB that promotes and advocates for changes for those that had been infected.
Misbah vision:
Also includes a world where people with TB, HIV and other disadvantage communities have dignity and effective involvement at all politically levels internationally, nationally, regional and at local levels where decisions that effects their lives are being made.
Misbah mission:
Have a respected and meaningful involvement at all political levels, local, national, regional, and international, where decisions that affect our lives are being made;
Have full access to care and treatment for those who are infected.
Respect all the rights of those infected and affected particularly sexual, reproductive, legal, financial and general health rights; irrespective of our culture, age, religion, sexuality, social or economic status/class and race.
Objectives
To deliver services to those sections of society, which are unable to access existing services?
To raise awareness about local, national and international healths issues and bring about changes.
To affirm local wisdom, which will complement the proven experience of other communities, which are experiencing similar changes with scientific findings?
To utilize, restore, protect and develop local languages so that they can be used to describe change, and communicate accurate and practical information through the editing, translation, and production of information, education and communication materials and establishing forums for the discussion and review of the use of language.
To have a respected and meaningful involvement at all political levels, local, national, regional, and international, where decisions that affect our lives are being made.
