SPANDAN visions at social,cultural, economic & educational upliftment of the marginalized groups people of the society.
SPANDAN is a national level social development organization. Society formation has been the result of collective efforts on the part of research scholars, academicians & social activists representing different part of the country from JNU/IIT/AU/DU. We are devoted to the cause of restoring dignity of life to the disadvantaged sections of the society by facilitating equal opportunity, gender equity and sustainable development. Society has conducted number of seminars, symposia, conferences, training programs and projects on rural development, education, women & child welfare, child labor etc. Some of the projects undertaken are impact assessment studies of rural development, domestic workers welfare & education, education to slum children & child labors etc. Special School for Child Labour ‘Bal Shramik Aadarsh Vidyalya’ was being run in one of the slum areas of Delhi located in Mangolpuri by SPANDAN. SPANDAN professionals have been involved in various evaluation studies of schemes & data collection, analysis & report writing. In order to fulfill its aims and objectives, SPANDAN is very ambitious to embark upon new frontiers by undertaking new studies, programs and organizing seminars, conferences etc. The projects and studies undertaken by the Society have been sponsored by various government and private agencies such as, Government of India, Ministry of Labor, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Ministry of External Affairs, Indian Council of Social Science Research, Indian Council of Historical Research, etc. SPANDAN has been giving Skill Training to youth of economically weaker section of the society & placing them in different jobs thru Prasha Solutions Pvt.Ltd. Clients of Prasha Solutions Pvt. Ltd are Citibank, Hero Honda, HCL, Yes Bank etc. SPANDAN has conducted monitoring studies for Ministry of Rural Development, GOI, New Delhi on their schemes like MGNREGA, SGSY/National Rural Livelihood Mission, Indira Awas Yojna, National Social Assistance Programme, Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna, Integrated Watershed Management Programmes, National Rural Drinking Water Programme, Total Sanitation Campaign & others as National Level Monitor.
