SAVE-UK and SAVE-INDIA’s aims and objectives are to achieve the millennium development goals by alleviating poverty and promoting social opportunity.

SAVE works as a non-political and non-religious charitable organisation to:

Improve - Education and health
Promote - Mother and child care, nutrition and sanitation
Enhance - Women’s rights and women’s empowerment
Develop - Skills for income generation
Raise - Awareness on environmental and social issues

Since its inception in 1994, SAVE has funded 26 small projects in 9 states of India. Presently it is working on 20 small projects spread across 7 states of India (Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Karnataka, Maharashtra , Tamil Nadu and West Bengal), the majority of which are in eastern India and many of these are in and around Kolkata as the donations have been ring fenced by the donor .   To know more visit: http://www.save-uk.org/what-we-do.html

Propose a Project:SAVE-UK and SAVE-India always work in collaboration with well-established and well-respected local NGOs working at the grass roots level. It chooses its partner NGOs after undertaking the ‘Due Diligence’ by looking at the latter’s legitimacy and credibility, the details of their governing structures, their annual reports and audited annual accounts and ultimately meeting the beneficiaries, the people living in the project area. The projects are designed in collaboration with the local NGOs and beneficiaries before we decide to provide fund for them. We also arrange to monitor our funded projects by appointed monitors. SAVE-UK has been working with the voluntary sector in India since 1994 and in all these years it has strictly followed the above modus operandi.

We would therefore very much appreciate if you could provide the following additional information before we can evaluate your proposal to secure fund in the UK:
