MSD Foundation seek to fund projects that directly serve or impact children living in urban poverty, particularly in the areas of education, childhood health and family economic stability (including microfinance). The grants listed below represent grants that were active during the last 12 months. If you are looking to apply for a grant, please visit the apply page. Foundation priorities: The Michael & Susan Dell Foundation only accepts unsolicited proposals for specific areas within the education, family economic stability and childhood health sectors in select countries where we work, namely the United States, India and South Africa. There’s no shortage of challenges in education, family economic stability and childhood health. To meet these challenges head on, it’s essential that we’re nimble in our approach. That’s why we use a range of financial tools and structures to support our work. In addition to our core grant making, we also use a selective, mission-driven impact investment strategy to help develop specific products and tools, as well as spur new markets that serve the poor, and we employ direct service agreements when an opportunity calls for specialized expertise. Click the “Check Your Eligibility” button to be routed through a series of screening questions. If you’re eligible, you can begin your application.
Important: Please be prepared to furnish us with contact and financial information (including total revenue and fiscal operating expenses) for your organization, as well as a detailed description of the project for which you are seeking support. To complete the application, you will also need:
- the amount you are requesting
- your project budget
- the number of children your project will reach
- a problem statement (500 character limit)
- a project description (1500 character limit)
- a brief description of how the requested funding will be used (500 character limit)
- a brief description of proposed success metrics (500 character limit)
