SUMMARY: ChildFund India aims to be a leading organization in support of higher education of children from vulnerable and marginalized communities. It seeks to provide them support to widen their horizons and fulfill their dreams of availing the best higher education available in the country. The aim of the project is to support children in class XI and XII with counseling, career guidance and information to be able to choose a higher education program suitable to their needs. The Scholarship program, is seen as transition from adolescence to young adulthood (16 years to 24 years), ensure continuation of higher education leading to employment opportunities for the youth. The program is to be implemented in four locations – Jhabua district in Madhya Pradesh, Udaipur district in Rajasthan and Malkangiri and Kalahandi districts of Orissa - will target girls and young women in the 16 to 24 years age group over a period of 3 years to complete their higher education. The MIS/M&E Officer, based in New Delhi, will be responsible for the implementation of the project in the identified locations. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for developing and rolling out M& E framework, indicators, tools and M&E systems. Data Management, Reporting and Assessment Defining denominators/targets for overall project and for activities undertaken. Develop tools and formats to capture community level processes and progress made. Provide data analysis on output, outcome and impact of project. Undertake periodic assessment of information/data collected Conduct data quality audits and validate project data with available secondary information. Data Custodian - Maintaining all critical databases and information, ensuring timely retrieval of required information as well as ensuring data security and confidentiality Capacity building and support to team members with respect to M&E framework, tools and indicators. Learning and Documentation Develop process documentation guideline Lead development of documents for learning purposes and updating of the existing ones Under take research to support programs and advocacy. Prepare dissemination plan for the documents produced.
QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE
•Post graduate degree in Social Sciences/ Statistics/ Demography/ Economics •5 years of experience in setting up M&E/ MIS systems. •Willing to travel COMPETENCIES
•Knowledge of standards and effective practices across multiple disciplines for M&E, data management, research and documentation. •Knowledge of participatory community development approaches •Knowledge of SPSS •Excellent writing/documentation and presentation skills. •Organized, team player, self-starter and results-oriented individual •Excellent communication skills in written and spoken Hindi and English.
