About the role:An exciting opportunity has arisen to support programmes and policy work of our partners. The job focuses on policy and advocacy work in accountable to governance, economic justice, tax, the extractives, land acquisition and effective management of Christian Aid Sierra Leone programme team. The job is a senior management role that requires competence in a broad range of complex technical and professional skills around resource management and program management. with The post holder should have  substantial degree of responsibility and autonomy. It also requires responsibility for the work of others effective use of resources is often present.

Based in Freetown, you will be responsible for managing the Programme unit to coordinate well with partners, lead and set standards on policy, advocacy and programme.

This role will add strategic direction to programme policy within Sierra Leone, and also the core criteria for the Management Track.  Scope of higher level strategic thinking and management of systems (including finance and programme management cycles).  Strengths to share: networking, people skills, innovation, policy and programme experience.

About you:You will have at least 6 - 10 years’ experience of programme management, policy analysis and advocacy work on issue of economic justice and governance including research and preparation of policy briefs and engaging with policy makers in Sierra Leone. You will be able to analyse, articulate and present complex policy issues concisely and simply and think strategically, conceptually and creatively.
