Regional Centre for Development Cooperation (RCDC) is a registered society having its head office in Bhubaneswar. The organisation promotes community based natural resources management for poverty reduction and has been primarily operating in Odisha for last 21 years. The activities of RCDC include research and documentation, publications, advocacy and networking, training and support service and direct filed interventions in 13 districts. RCDC intends to recruit one Regional Manager for its Field Centre at Koraput/Nabarangpur. The RM position is a senior management position in the organisation and s/he will be responsible for all the operations of that particular region. The detailed job description has been given below. Responsible for overall management of the regional office and implementation of its programmes. Operate within overall agreed framework of RCDC; develop strategic plan, proposals and reports for the regional office. Report to the Director, Field Operations on programme implementation of planned activities and be responsible for the fund management. In consultation with the Director, Field Operation responsible for recruitment, retention and manage the staff of the regional office as per the organizational policy frameworks. Produce annual plan and report, and quarterly plan and report (including finance) for the regional office. Develop the profile and visibility of the Centre and as a whole of RCDC. Documentation of impacts and best practices and share it at different forums for learning and its replication. Liaison with district administration and line departments in relation to work and represent to workshops and seminars and decision making body on behalf of RCDC. Skills and qualifications: Post-Graduation degree in social sciences/social work/development studies and at least 10 years of experience in managing integrated community development programmes. Sound understanding of the development and management issues and project cycle management. Good communication skill (written and verbal) in Oriya and English. Demonstrated leadership ability to manage multidiscipline projects in tribal environment. Ability to work under pressure environments of competing priority. Computer literacy in word process, excel and spreadsheet. Experience of managing independent office set up. Demonstrated skill in managing multidiscipline project, cost management and human resource development. Note: Women candidates are encouraged to apply.
